Required Tools

Masking Tape: Lidar has difficulty seeing shiny objects, especially chrome. If the boat has an Anchor or chrome windshield rail or any other shiny chrome objects that may touch the cover, they must have masking tape put on them for the lidar to see.

50ft Tape Measure: This will be needed to measure points on the boat so the designers can accurately scale the scan data.

Ladder: A ladder may be needed to get the scanner to see up on top of towers or bimini’s.

Selfie Stick: A selfie stick may be needed to get the scanner to see up on the top of towers and bimini’s.

Camera: You will need to provide multiple pictures of the boat from various angles, especially any arches, towers, biminis.

Before scanning

Pictures: Take multiple pictures of the boat from various angles, pictures must clearly show: The bow, Stern, Full side, Arch/Tower/Bimini and anything that may be on top of the Arch/Tower/Bimini.

Measurements: Using the tape measure, please fill out the required dimension form below so our designers can properly scale your data. Please attach this filled out sheet to your cover order form.
