iPhone PRO
The iPhone PRO 12 or 13, or iPad PRO with the Lidar scanner is the preferred method for capturing boat data. The iPhone uses Lidar (a laser that determines distance and depths of objects) and Photos to produce accurate results.
ProLiner
The Proliner, by Prodim, uses a wire and probe to touch each point. This system produces very accurate results, but may take a little training. A ProLiner can cost in excess of $20k, leaving it out of reach for many.
